The two allies who defected to the APM are Hon. Kola Egunjobi, who is contesting for the Agege Constituency I seat, and Azeez Oladapo Yusuf Ninolowo, who is contesting the Agege Constituency II seat.Both Kola Egunjobi and Yusuf Ninolowo had initially won the APC tickets, but after an internal review by Lagos APC, they lost their tickets to Oluwagbenga Abiola and Enimakure Akindele Sakiru, respectively. Despite their loss, Speaker Obasa, who was at some point impeached but later reinstated as Speaker through President Tinubu’s intervention, scaled through to win the APC ticket for Agege Federal Constituency House of Representatives election.
