The Alare of Are Ekiti, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Jacob Boluwade Adebiyi, has conferred the prestigious traditional title of Asiwaju of Are Ekiti on Chief Ladipo Anisulowo.
The conferment took place on Tuesday in the presence of members of the Alare-in-Council and executives of the Are Progressive Union, APU.
According to a statement signed by Prince Dayo Olofinniyi, Assistant Public Relations Officer of APU, the honour was in recognition of Chief Anisulowo’s outstanding contributions to the development of Are Ekiti, his commitment to the progress of the ancient town, and his exemplary leadership, generosity, and selfless service to the community.
Chief Anisulowo currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Are Progressive Union.
The people of Are Ekiti congratulated the new Asiwaju on the well-deserved honour, praying for God’s wisdom, good health and strength for him to continue serving the town in his new traditional capacity.
