INEC BEGINS DISTRIBUTION OF SENSITIVE MATERIALS AHEAD OF SATURDAY’S POLL

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday night began distributing sensitive election materials to all 30 Local Government Areas of Osun State ahead of Saturday’s August 15 governorship election.

The distribution, supervised by the Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, commenced from the Central Bank of Nigeria premises in Osogbo after INEC printed new ballot papers and result sheets following a court order adding the SDP to the ballot.

The exercise is aimed at ensuring that all electoral materials reach their designated locations before voting begins, although concerns have been raised that rainfall could disrupt the distribution.
