President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with governors elected under the All Progressives Congress, also known as the Progressives Governors Forum, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting commenced shortly before 4:00pm on Thursday, following the governors’ attendance at a separate National Economic Council session presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.As of the time of filing this report, the meeting was still in progress and the agenda had not been made public.
The meeting comes eight days after INEC officially flagged off campaigns for the 2027 general elections, and five days after the APC released the list of its Presidential Campaign Council, with former Zamfara Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, named as Director-General.Details to follow.
