Fellow Nigerians, distinguished compatriots, and well-meaning citizens, I warmly congratulate every Nigerian on the occasion of our nation’s Independence Day. Today, we celebrate the courage, sacrifices, resilience, and determination of our founding fathers who fought for the freedom and sovereignty of our great nation. As we commemorate this historic day, let us reflect on how far we have come and renew our commitment to building a peaceful, united, prosperous, and democratic Nigeria.
Our independence is a reminder that nation-building is a collective responsibility. Despite the challenges confronting us as a nation, we must never lose hope in Nigeria or abandon our shared dreams of a better future. We must continue to promote peace, unity, justice, patriotism, and mutual respect across ethnic, religious, and political divides. Let us support one another, empower our young people, encourage meaningful development, and hold firmly to the values that strengthen our national identity.
As we celebrate another year of freedom, I call on all Nigerians to remain hopeful, courageous, and committed to the Nigeria of our dreams. May our leaders be guided by wisdom, our citizens by patriotism, and our nation by the spirit of unity and progress. Together, we can build a Nigeria where peace reigns, opportunities abound, and every citizen has a reason to be proud. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed:
Chief. Barr. Ade Ogunmiloyo
