The General overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that individuals sponsoring killers across Nigeria are under a “divine curse,” following the killing of dozens of residents in Kaduna State.
Speaking during a church service, Oyedepo condemned the July 27, 2026 attack in Kaduna, where gunmen reportedly killed at least 30 people, including women and children.
He said those responsible for the bloodshed, and anyone backing them, would face God’s judgment.“Woe to all destructive agents in Nigeria. Whether in power or out of power, judgement has finally come,” he said. “You can’t slaughter members of my family and want me to pray for you.
I pray against you, against your household, against your generation, in the name of Jesus,” he added. The cleric alleged that the killings were not random but were being orchestrated by powerful sponsors.
“Everybody knows that these wicked people are being sponsored. Anyone who doesn’t know that, that’s a problem,” Oyedepo stated.
He then pronounced a curse on financiers of the violence: “Every sponsor of killers in Nigeria, you come under a curse today,” he declared.Oyedepo also criticized the government’s response to the recurring attacks, questioning the lack of an official condemnation of the latest incident.
“You mean they kill people every day and government is pretending not to know what to do?” he asked. “I have not heard any statement from government quarters against the killings. I’m here to hear one, sir.
Our human life is not of value anymore?”The bishop said he had refrained from commenting publicly on insecurity for some time, but believed the time had come for divine justice.
“When you see God keep quiet at the wickedness of the wicked, it’s because the bubble is about to burst,” he said. “I have long held my peace… but now I will rise, like a wounded lion, and I will devour at once.
”Concluding his message, Oyedepo insisted that those behind the violence would not escape accountability. “As the Lord lives… this bubble will burst. Go and hide anywhere. The bubble will burst,” he added.
