President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adeleke arrived the forecourt of the Villa at exactly 5:25 PM on Thursday, dressed in a navy blue traditional attire, with a walking stick, and alighting from a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. He was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
This marks the governor’s first meeting with the President since his re-election in last Saturday’s governorship election.
The visit follows a congratulatory phone call from President Tinubu days earlier, in which he described Adeleke’s victory as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country” and urged him to unite all Osun residents irrespective of political affiliation.
Four other Osun officials were also seen at the Villa around 5:40 PM. They include:
Senator Lere Oyewumi, DG of the Adeleke Campaign Council; Mr. Sunday Bisi, Council member; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Akinleye Kazeem; and Hon. Bamidele Salam, Rep member for Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency.
