A video circulating online has generated controversy after Senator Francis Fadahunsi, APC, representing Osun East, was allegedly heard making inflammatory comments against members of the Accord Party during a campaign in Ilesa.In the footage, the senator was heard telling supporters that any Accord Party member found in the area would be kill.
β The remarks were made days ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.The video has since gone viral, with many calling on security agencies and INEC to intervene to ensure a peaceful election.
Both the APC and Accord Party are major contenders in the August 15 governorship race.According to the video, Senator Fadahunsi was at the palace with other APC chieftains to protest what he described as the incessant killings of APC members in Ijesaland.Speaking in Yoruba, the senator said:
βHow many people have you seen the APC kill? We are here to tell you that until the day of the election, if we see any Accord member in Ilesa, we will kill him.β_
