Adeleke Declares Friday Work-Free Day Ahead of Osun Governorship Election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Friday, August 14, 2026, a work-free day for public service workers to enable them travel and prepare to vote in Saturday’s governorship election.

The directive, contained in a circular by the Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina, covers all categories of workers except those on emergency and essential duties.

Adeleke also urged workers, their families and other residents to turn out massively, protect their votes and support continuity, while commending organised labour for its support for his administration.
